One can compare the outfits color wise and price wise with other stores and find the cheapest deals without compromising on quality. The same out fit can also be compared by price on different stores to check if it is in stock at a cheaper price.
Online stores are always offering clearance sales and you can find a cheaper deal without having to run to a store. They also have a plethora of payment options.
Also one can compare the return and exchange policies of stores and make a choice if you are still doubtful over the size you ordered. You can ask the opinions of your friends and family and return the item if you aren’t satisfied with it. The added advantage being that you can try the outfit in the comfort of your home and pair it with other items to be sure of your decision.

Recession…. Who likes that capital “b” anyways? Pardon my French! That was just one of those Italian warm blooded outbursts that I have to swallow down every now and then. The truth is that even though nobody likes what we are going through with this recession, it is a reality that none of us can deny. Then again, there are those who seem to remain surprisingly unshaken by that economic plague all around us. Maybe me and you have to wait till there is a sale at Nordstrom in order to buy those designer ladies clothes, but others, have to sign up on waiting lists in order to get them before they are even out there for us to see.
For those very few selected ladies, being the first to get that new designer handbag, or the finest shoes before they even hit the market is their top priority! Who can blame them? In the Bible, it says “He who is without sin, can throw the first stone”. In the modern fashion world, Sarah says “She who is without lust for uniqueness, can throw the first stone”! I don’t see any of you ladies picking up any stones. Who wouldn’t want to be like the character of Samantha Jones in the popular series? Note to my readers, if you don’t know who Samantha is, then you seriously have some homework. Anyways, Samantha always had her way. She would get into all the best clubs, get a taste of the finest clothing, shoes, handbags… you name it – she had it.
One of my girlfriends recently asked me if there was a way to get on those heavily guarded “be the first to buy” lists from the top ladies clothes couture designers. These lists, normally open once or twice a year, and it’s a fair assumption to say that your name is not getting in there, unless if you are a celebrity or if you know a celebrity. We live in an unfair world, don’t we? Then again, how can someone afford some of those prohibitive prices? We have seen ladies clothes with millions of threads, handmade, custom made in order to, in a way, hug your body and make you look stunning. These can range from low to high thousands of dollars. So, even if I was able to sign up on one of those lists, chances are, I wouldn’t be able to utilize what it has to offer.
Then again, that doesn’t mean that I can’t experience a night or two feeling like a little princess in one of those dresses. Now I got you thinking, right? How can you do that if you can’t afford them? The answer is simple – you rent them. Obviously, if I could buy, I would buy, but since I can’t pay the full price, I settle for paying part of it. Either way, chances are that even if I did own one of those Cartier or Hermes, or Perregaux pieces, I still wouldn’t wear it more than a few times. For those that disagree, I ask you to go and take a look at your closet and come back and tell me that you wear all of your clothes regularly. Leave a comment, I dare you! You don’t need to own a wardrobe valued in the millions of dollars in order to look fabulous, you just need to have access to it.

What we mean when we refer to style? Style, or better yet personal style if you like, is how each woman mixes and matches her clothes and furthermore the kind of clothes every one of us chooses to wear. The question is how we make our personal style?
The key to the existence of a personal style is not to be a fashion victim. You do not HAVE to buy and wear everything and anything you see in stores and/or in magazines. Sure, they may look nice in the pictures while being worn by super models and having a team of people work on them, however, you have to remember that this is not always the case in real life. We just can’t make every piece of ladies clothes work for us. The rule is that we should only choose those that flatter us and combine them with the existing clothes in our wardrobe. Ladies, clothes are out there, you just have to find the right ones for you and just you.
We must be objective and honest with ourselves when it comes to choosing the right clothes. Some work for us and some simply don’t. There is no one forcing us to wear something that makes us feel uncomfortable or even make us look ridiculous. We should not be slaves to fashion. If the popular fashion choices don’t work on us … we just don’t follow. That’s simple, right?
As much as we may like a pair of Prada shoes or a wonderful Chanel purse, we should always consider if that fits our personal lifestyle. Can we combine it with other ladies clothes in our wardrobe? Can we afford it? If you answered no to any of these, then you should move on to the next shop – there are plenty of them!
Our clothes should reflect our personality, not the personality of each great saleswoman in every store. We must be able to refuse to buy something, just because a saleswoman told us that when we put it on we look stunning. She is doing her job, she can’t say otherwise! Imagine one of them saying that this green shirt makes us look like a cucumber. Hard to picture that, isn’t it?
Also, we should never rely on what our other friends and/or colleagues wear. Our unique style is what makes us stand out. Find your own colors, your own designs, and your own skirt length! You decide what you want to wear and that’s the only way to create a wardrobe full of ladies clothes that make you feel good for yourself and comfortable with those around you.
